Rabat

Rabat, the capital of Morocco, is a city that seamlessly blends tradition with modernity on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. Steeped in history, Rabat’s UNESCO-listed medina boasts ancient walls and narrow alleys where traditional markets, or souks, come alive with the hustle and bustle of daily life.

The Kasbah of the Udayas, a fortress dating back to the 12th century, offers panoramic views of the Bou Regreg River and the neighboring city of Salé. Modern avenues and governmental buildings coexist with historic landmarks, showcasing Rabat’s role as the political and administrative heart of Morocco.

The Royal Palace, with its magnificent Andalusian gardens, is a testament to the city’s regal heritage. Additionally, Rabat’s Chellah Necropolis, a Roman and medieval Muslim burial ground, invites contemplation amid ancient ruins and tranquil gardens.

Rabat’s coastal charm is further enhanced by the Marina, where seaside promenades and fresh ocean air complement the city’s dynamic ambiance.
